Let us tell you a bit more about ourselves...
Our Extended Family:
Let me tell you about our family: my mom and dad live in Los Angeles (just a two hour plane ride away from Seattle) and we see them nearly every month – either they come up to visit us or we go to LA and visit them. What is great about my parents is that they are relatively young and healthy and cannot wait to spoil a grandchild with trips to Disneyland. My parents are loving, funny and smart people. My mother was a teacher for more than 30 years and my dad is a scientist who still takes on part time jobs even in his retirement years.
I have a younger brother who is also based in Southern California and lots of cousins and aunts and uncles on both coasts.
Gid, who is originally from Windsor, England, has three children from a previous marriage -- all of whom live with their mom, but visit us on holidays and during the summer. They are mostly grown up now and all are excited about the possibility of a new baby brother or sister.
Gid also has a large family (five brothers and sisters and all of whom are married with children) and they live all in various parts of the world from New York to London.

Gid and his kids
While Gid's family is over-seas – Gid and I are in a position to travel to see them once or twice a year. Gideon’s parents just came out to Washington from England and stayed with us for a month and loved the area so much they vowed to come again. All of Gid’s family are wonderful – at our wedding all my friends fell in love with Gid and his siblings and wanted to “adopt” his family (maybe it was the cool English accents).
That said, our child will also to be able to travel and visit their siblings and other relatives and see the world. It will be an exciting life filled with travel, wonder and exploration – not to mention a life surrounded by the love of grandparents, cousins and aunts and uncles.
